Prerequisites:
Bricworks needs a series of libraries to run -- most of which were probably already installed with your linux distribution. If you are having problems getting bricworks to work then check that the following are installed:
Quote:

python
python-wxgtk2.6
python-serial

Under Ubuntu 6.06.1 / 6.10 to install these libraries in terminal type:
Quote:

sudo apt-get install python python-wxgtk2.6 python-serial

Bricworks:
Microbric BricWorks for Linux Download (6Mb)

Create bricworks directory
Quote:

mkdir bricworks

Move the bricworks.tar.bz2 into the bricworks directory
Quote:

mv bricworks.tar.bz2 bricworks/

change into the bricworks directory, type:
Quote:

cd bricworks

Untar bricworks.tar.bz2, type:
Quote:

tar xjf bricworks.tar.bz2

To run it, type:
Quote:

python bricworks.py
